Job summary

Watertown Regional Medical Center, part of ScionHealth, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will position patients, select factors, and produce high-quality images per physician orders and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary grad of an accredited radiography program (required).
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice upon hire (required).
• ARRT certification upon hire (required).
• BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician’s orders.
• Educate patient about procedures, equipment and exam.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Select exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implement safety standards and QC procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and address image quality issues.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results.
• Other duties as assigned.
