The role emphasizes safe exposure practices, accurate documentation, and collaboration with radiologists and medical staff. Candidates should be proficient with imaging systems, maintain compliance with HIPAA, and perform routine QC tasks and equipment maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
• CPR certification and ARRT(R) registration or eligibility.
• State licensure requirements for KY and IN radiologic practice.
• Understanding of radiation safety and protection protocols.
• Proficiency with radiographic equipment and digital imaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Operates all radiography equipment safely and efficiently.
• Formulates and applies safe exposure factors to minimize patient dose.
• Ensure proper charging, coding and modifiers for procedures.
• Review images for high quality and assist with QC/QA tasks.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient data integrity.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology

CPR certified

ARRT(R) registered or eligible

Kentucky KBMIRT Radiation Operator's License – Radiography

Indiana ISDH License – Radiologic Technologist or Student Permit
