Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology (R) or current ARRT registry in Radiology Technology.
• Current BLS certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic images with proper detail and contrast.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain accurate history relevant to the examination.
• Protect patients and staff by following radiation safety standards and using shielding.
• Maintain x-ray equipment with routine cleaning and testing; record results.
• Maintain patient records and ensure RIS/PACS accuracy and confidentiality.
• Perform duties as directed by lead technologist, supervisor, or manager, including QA tasks.
