Rochester Regional Health's Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY, seeks a Part-time Radiologic Technologist to assist radiologists, perform radiographic procedures, and obtain high-quality films with patient comfort and safety.
You will work in Radiology with on-call coverage (2–3 shifts per month and some holidays), maintain accurate RIS/PACS documentation, prep rooms, and participate in department meetings.
STATUS: Part-time (24 hours/week) LOCATION: Unity Hospital DEPARTMENT: Radiology SCHEDULE: Sun 10:00 am - 6:30 pm, Mon 10:30 am- 7 pm, Tues 10 am- 6:30 pm On-call: 2-3 shifts/month and some holidays
Performs and assists radiologists in performing radiographic procedures, obtaining films of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures.
Excellent patient service skills. Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Exceptional documentation/computer skills and professional behavior.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20-50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
