Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Associate's degree or higher from an ARRT-approved program.
• At least 2 years of experience in Medical Imaging
• Valid State License/Certification

Responsibilities

• Operate X-Ray Machine/Take radiological images
• Operate PACs system
• Process charges and related paperwork using computer/EMR as directed
• Clean, maintain and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment
• Protect patient and other personnel from radiation hazards
• Collaborate with the ordering provider
• Report equipment malfunctions to Radiology Manager or designee and ensure equipment is in working order
• Prepare copies of X-ray CD's for patients, tests, surgery, and physicians
• Assist with transportation of patients between examination rooms and Radiology department

Schedule: 1-2 weekends per month; Saturday and Sunday 5-hour shifts; weekdays as available

Job Summary

A Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. They operate imaging equipment, position patients for accurate images, ensure patient safety, and maintain detailed records. Rad Techs follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
