Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Tucumcari, NM is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure quality images and patient safety, and complete documentation in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requires NM RRT license or temporary license, ARRT certification preferred, and ability to obtain ARRT within 1 year if not certified at hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist (RRT) license or temporary license required.
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred at the time of hire.
• Candidates not ARRT certified at hire must obtain ARRT R.T.(R) certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using appropriate equipment and established protocols.
• Operates and troubleshoots imaging equipment and systems to ensure quality images and efficient workflow.
• Provides basic patient care and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Completes required documentation and performs departmental clerical duties.
• Protects patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality while delivering compassionate care.
• Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and departmental performance initiatives.
• Assists with the orientation of new employees and supports students during clinical rotations.
• Maintains a safe environment by following radiation safety, infection prevention, and departmental policies.
• Collaborates with Radiologists, providers, and other healthcare team members to support quality patient care.

Education

Associate degree preferred

Current New Mexico RRT license or temporary license required

ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred at hire

If not ARRT certified at hire, must obtain ARRT R.T.(R) certification within one year
