Job summary

Mercy Phys. Plaza seeks a Senior Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and operate imaging equipment with a focus on patient safety and high-quality results. You will maintain accurate documentation and act as a lead when leadership is unavailable.

Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential as you contribute to a collaborative care environment and support Mercy’s mission in a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with clinical hours.
• Radiologic Technologist License required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience or bachelor degree; ARRT registry in compliance with CE or registry eligible with temporary license; CPR certification.
• Minor nursing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure patient safety and comfort.

The Senior Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, upholding high-quality imaging standards, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of procedures and findings. Responsibilities for this role also include serving as a resource and acting as a lead while leadership is unavailable. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.

Position Details:

• Location: Mercy Phys. Plaza
• Shift: Full-Time, Monday - Friday
• Hours: 8:00a - 5:00p

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
• Required Certifications: Radiologic Technologist License.
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program. Current ARRT Registry in Compliance with Continuing Education or is registry eligible with a temporary license. Maintain CPR certification.
• Other: Requires minor nursing skills.
