RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Lead in New Jersey for night shifts. The role focuses on producing high-quality radiographic images, managing fluoroscopic equipment, and ensuring patient safety with minimized radiation exposure.

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology is required.
• NJ radiology license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiographic images or position fluoroscopic equipment as instructed.
• Minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort during procedures.
• Select and prepare any contrast media used with radiographic exams and special studies.
• Process radiographic images and upload to PACS.
• Identify patients and indicate correct body part on all images.
• Process x-ray requests.
• Assist in instruction of student radiographers and demonstrate techniques.

Qualifications

Preferred: Minimum of two (2) years of radiology technician experience strongly preferred.

Functions

Responsible for: Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed.Minimization of radiation exposure.Ensuring patient comfortSelection and preparation of any contrast media used in conjunction with radiographic examinations as well as special examinations.Processing radiographic images going to PACS.Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images.Processing x-ray requests.Assists in instruction of student technologists.Is able to demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
