Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Lead for the RWJ New Brunswick site. The role requires ARRT certification, NJ radiology license, and BLS, with night shift and full-time status in New Jersey.

The position focuses on producing quality radiographs, minimizing radiation exposure, and supporting student technologists. Essential duties include image processing, PACS work, contrast media preparation, and ensuring patient comfort while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology required.
• NJ radiology license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Preferred: Minimum of two years radiology technician experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed.
• Minimization of radiation exposure.
• Ensuring patient comfort.
• Selection and preparation of any contrast media used in conjunction with radiographic examinations as well as special examinations.
• Processing radiographic images going to PACS.
• Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images.
• Processing x-ray requests.
• Assists in instruction of student technologists.
• Is able to demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
