Job Summary

This job involves assessing patients and safely performing routine radiographic procedures in accordance with safety protocols. The role also includes serving as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible, with registration within 90 days of employment, and a temporary state license.
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Radiologic technology experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in computer and software applications.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible work schedule and ability to travel between facilities.
Job Duties
  • Verify physician orders and procedures.
  • Use radiology information systems.
  • Explain procedures to patients.
  • Operate equipment independently to complete imaging procedures.
  • Review images for quality.
  • Perform quality control and regulatory compliance tasks.
  • Assist with departmental operations.
  • Adapt interactions to patient needs and privacy considerations.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Physical and Environmental Demands

Must be able to exert significant physical effort, work directly with patients, and handle exposure to potentially hazardous materials and environments.
