Required are an Associate's degree in Radiography, ARRT RT certification, AZDHS MRT licensure, BLS, and fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in Radiography and/or completed certificate program in Radiography.
• Prefer six to twelve (6-12) months of radiology experience unless they have completed their clinical experience at Valleywise Health.
• Requires R.T.(R) certification with ARRT or equivalent; AZDHS MRT licensure; BLS; fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a radiologist or manager, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision.
• Performs data entry operations using appropriate hospital software packages.
• Captures images, obtains quality images, and ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Applies physics principles and radiation protection to obtain optimal images for diagnosis.
