Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and support patient care within a busy radiology department.

You will position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and document results in EMR/PACS while adhering to ALARA safety standards. Associate degree in radiologic technology is preferred and CPR/BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology required or preferred depending on facility policy.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for advancement or specialty roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required as a baseline credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Position, move, and assist patients to ensure accurate imaging results.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and ensure equipment safety and readiness.
• Document procedures accurately in EMR and PACS systems.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy during procedures.
• Follow radiation safety principles to minimize exposure for patient and staff.
