Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls, ID is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures on a variety of equipment and assist Radiologists. The role requires ARRT licensure and BLS certification, with responsibilities across patient assessment, imaging, safety, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold or obtain current licensure as a RT(R) with ARRT or equivalent.
• Must hold or obtain current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Interviews the patient prior to testing and analyzes size, condition, age and history to apply radiographic procedures.
• Sets, adjusts and controls complex radiographic equipment to apply ionizing radiation for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams; operates portable machines.
• Assesses technical quality of radiographs before giving to Radiologist; performs repeats as necessary.
• Provides protection to patients and staff per safety standards.
• Documents patient information for exam interpretation and care.
• Assists Radiologist in administration of contrast materials.
• Answers questions and provides information on radiographic procedures and radiation safety.
