Job summary

St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to produce diagnostic images for Radiologists, supporting timely and accurate diagnoses.

You will perform X-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI exams while ensuring a positive patient experience through direct interaction. Requirements include one year of experience, TX radiography registration on hire, CPR within 14 days, and ARRT registration.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience as Radiologic Technologist.
• TX Medical Radiographer license upon hire.
• CPR certification within 14 days of hire.
• ARRT registration in Radiography upon hire or eligible.
• Registrations in Bone Densitometry, Computed Tomography, Cardio Interventional Radiography, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Quality Management, Radiation Therapy, Vascular Interventional Radiography, and Vascular Sonography upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests per departmental protocols under Medical Director supervision.
• Prepare equipment and maintain safety, QA, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and contact appropriate personnel.
• Maintain infection control standards and room/equipment maintenance.
• Complete all quality checks and maintain equipment logs.
• Ensure diagnostic rooms are stocked with necessary supplies.

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To be successful in this role, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history.
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and ensures requisite documentation.
• Problem solves equipment failure and contacts appropriate personnel regarding equipment problems.
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure

• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or

• Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire or
