Job summary

St. Luke’s Health–Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging studies and support radiologists in patient care.

You will conduct X-rays, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI exams, ensure image quality, position patients correctly, maintain equipment, and uphold infection control standards while delivering compassionate patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Medical Radiographer: TX
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
• Basic Life Support - CPR
• Associate's degree

Responsibilities

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the department procedures under the direction of the Medical Director.
• Obtains and documents patient history.
• Prepares equipment ensuring it is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
• Performs periodic QA and ensures requisite documentation.
• Solves equipment failures and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
• Ensures daily equipment and room maintenance before/during/after each procedure and infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and maintains equipment logs.
• Completes all clinical supply inventories for each diagnostic room.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history.
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation.
• Problem solves equipment failure and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
