Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to operate radiology equipment and produce diagnostic radiographs under Radiologists' direction, following established protocols. You will assist clinicians, explain procedures to patients, and ensure quality service.

This full-time role in Elmhurst includes shift-based evenings with on-call duties and weekends. The position requires an at-least candidate status for ARRT(R), IEMA licensure, and a current CPR certification; associate degree

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• IEMA licensure or notice of IEMA compliance to perform medical radiation.
• ARRT(R) certification candidate within 2 years of temporary license date.
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) by American Heart Association.
• Preferred: prior radiology experience and knowledge of ACR/JCAHO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiology equipment to produce radiographs as directed by Radiologists.
• Assists physicians and staff with obtaining images and records via PACS/HIS.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
• Delivers quality customer service in all aspects of the job.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$29.68 - $46.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

SIGN-ON BONUS: $10,000

• Position: Radiologic Technologist II

• Location: Elmhurst Center for Health site

• Full-Time, 40 hours weekly

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 12pm to 8:30pm, on-call schedule, rotating weekends & holidays

What you will do:

Operates a variety of radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologists, in accordance with established protocols. Assists physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining images and other records using the Radiology PACS or hospital information systems. Explains procedure to patients, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of job.

What you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Associate’s degree, preferred

• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure or “notice of IEMA compliance and authorization to perform medical radiation”

• At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) certification (i.e., Certificate of Program Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director of the accredited school.). Required within 2yrs of temporary license date.

• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

• Preferred: Prior x-ray experience in a hospital setting Knowledge of all current American College of Radiology (ACR)/JCAHO requirements to maintain compliance with all rules and regulations
