Weekend Program with premium shift differential for a qualified Radiologic Technologist.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:30pm to 7:00am
  • Location: Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC
  • Incentives: New hire bonus of $15,000 paid over two years or $10,000 for new Radiologic Technologist graduate, paid over two years.
  • Relocation: $3,000 relocation assistance paid to new hire who qualifies.

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs diagnostic radiology procedures by utilizing equipment and employing techniques and procedures that are appropriate to the entire span of ages served in accordance with accepted standards of practice, and demonstrating expertise in limiting radiation exposure to patients and other members of the health care team.

Assists radiologists and other qualified staff physicians with invasive procedures, patient scheduling, clerical and image processing functions.

REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum six months experience as a diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred.
  • One year experience with patients preferred.
  • Registered and certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Registry eligible and must become registered within 12 months of hire. Certifications from other areas of specialty required.
  • BLS (CPR) certification.

SKILLS:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses and other ancillary professional staff
  • Ability to maintain daily schedules
  • Clinical skills to enable recognition and to function accordingly in relation to priorities of patient needs
  • Performs effectively with frequent workload changes and competing demands
