Job summary

NorthBay Health in Fairfield, California is seeking a Radiology Technician I to work under the supervision of the Supervisor. You will perform general radiographic studies, produce images, and ensure patient safety throughout examinations.

Responsibilities include assisting patients, organizing and filing images, completing requisitions, and supporting front office duties as needed. CRT and BLS certification are required, with AMA approved radiology training and basic clerical skills valued.

Qualifications

  • Must have AMA approved radiology course.
  • CRT certification is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • BLS certification current or equivalent required.
  • Less than one year of experience in general radiology.
  • Basic clerical and computer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assist and instruct patients prior and during examinations.
  • Evaluate each study to ensure quality standards.
  • Ensure patient safety and wellbeing during examinations.
  • Inspect and clean equipment prior to use.
  • Report equipment failures to supervisor.
  • Document patient complaints and QA incidents per policy.
  • Produce images, burn CDs, organize paperwork, and complete requisitions.
  • Assist in front office duties as needed.
  • Support other modalities when time permits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

At NorthBay Health, the Radiology Technician I will work under the supervision of the Supervisor. Performs general radiographic studies to established QA criteria. Produces radiographs and organizes images, completes required paperwork and charges. Responsible for patient safety and wellbeing during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Assists with clerical duties. Reports all equipment malfunctions. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use.

Primary Job Duties
  • Perform radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols. Subject to periodic evaluation by Supervisor for quality control.
  • Assist and instruct patients prior and during examinations.
  • Evaluate each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
  • Ensure patient safety and wellbeing during examinations.
  • Inspect and clean equipment prior to use.
  • Report equipment failures and/or malfunctions to outpatient supervisor.
  • Report all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to QA policies.
  • Produce images, burn CD, organize paperwork, and complete requisition data.
  • Work in other areas of department such as front office.
  • Assist other modalities as time allows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Compensation
  • Hourly Salary Range: $56.56 - $68.78 (offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
  • 10% per diem differential included in salary range
  • Generous shift differentials
Qualifications
  • High school preferred.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course.
  • CRT required.
  • Current AHA or equivalent healthcare provider BLS Certification required.
  • Less than one year of experience in general radiology.
  • Basic clerical and computer experience.
