Position Details: Radiology Technologist - M-F, 9am-5:30pm, Rotating Weekends

Compensation: $20K Sign-on Bonus

Position Purpose

Carries out radiological examinations under the supervision of the Radiologist and Department Director/Supervisor. Responsible for maintaining quality care of all patients when in the department.

Responsibilities
  1. Call for patients to be brought to Radiology.
  2. Properly place requisitions for patient scheduling.
  3. Log patients accurately in Meditech system.
  4. Provide care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
  5. Stock and restock emergency trays and inspect safety equipment.
  6. Assist with patient transport and perform radiographic procedures.
  7. Ensure all materials and equipment are prepared and maintained properly.
  8. Operate imaging equipment, evaluate image quality, and ensure safety protocols.
  9. Maintain current certifications and comply with hospital policies.
  10. Assist radiologists with procedures and provide patient education.
  11. Participate in department meetings and quality assurance activities.
  12. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned room and equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Associate Degree in X-ray technology preferred.
  2. Current BLS CPR certification.
  3. Two years of training in an approved radiologic technologist program.
  4. Registered by ARRT, with a valid state license and CPR certification.
Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds or more.
  2. Good visual, auditory, and physical stamina.
  3. Ability to operate in a clinical environment with good body mechanics.
