Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Wailuku, Hawaii is seeking a Radiologic Technologist I for a 40-hour day shift. The role requires performing radiologic examinations, preparing sterile fields, and assisting radiologists during fluoroscopic procedures within radiology, OR, ED, and hospital rooms.

You will ensure patient safety, document accurately in RIS, and participate in on-call rotations. The ideal candidate has an associates degree in radiologic technology (or 2 years of related experience), Hawaii

Qualifications

Associates degree in radiologic technology or two (2) years of related experience.
Radiographer License (Hawaii) required at hire.
Basic Life Support required at hire.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Radiography required at hire.

Responsibilities

Performs radiologic examinations according to departmental protocols within diagnostic imaging department and operating room, emergency department and hospital patient rooms; positions patients and selects technical factors for optimum imaging.
Reviews orders and correlates clinical history with the exam; consults with Radiologists and Registered Nurses as needed.
Assists radiologist during fluoroscopic procedures and operates general radiology and portable imaging systems.
Post-processes images and prepares for radiologist interpretation; transmits images to PACS.
Maintains equipment knowledge and reports malfunctions; ensures patient safety and privacy.
