Job summary

St. Luke's Health-Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic images that aid Radiologists in accurate diagnoses and patient care.

You will perform X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy according to departmental protocols, while maintaining equipment, QA, infection control, and documentation of patient history.

Qualifications

• ARRT Registered Radiographer required.
• CPR (BLS) certification required.
• Associate’s degree in Science or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests according to department protocols under Medical Director guidance.
• Prepares equipment and ensures safety, documentation, and QA tasks.
• Maintains room and equipment, supports infection control standards, documents patient history.
• Maintains supply inventories for each diagnostic room.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history.
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation.
• Problem solves equipment failure and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
