Job summary

St. Luke's Health–The Vintage Hospital in Northwest Houston is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams including X-rays, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI while delivering compassionate patient care.

You will ensure equipment readiness, uphold QA standards, manage supplies, and maintain infection control, with ARRT registration and CPR required; an Associate degree is preferred within the CommonSpirit Health family.

Qualifications

• Licensed radiographer (ARRT) upon hire.
• CPR certification required.
• Associates degree in radiologic technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging tests per department protocols.
• Prepare equipment and ensure safety; document QA.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and notify Lead Technologist.
• Maintain infection control standards and log equipment usage.
• Manage clinical supplies inventories for procedures.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history.
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation.
• Problem solves equipment failure and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
