Job summary

Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS seeks a Radiologic Technologist I to perform diagnostic imaging and assist clinicians with high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The role requires ARRT registration, KS licensure or temporary permit on hire, and ongoing education to maintain licensure.

Full-time days with 8-hour shifts (7:30am–4:00pm). A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered radiologic technologist
• State licensure (KS) or temporary permit on hire
• Current BCLS (AHA)
• Graduate of accredited radiologic technology program; JRCERT accreditation preferred
• At least one year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures per protocols (radiography, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound)
• Ensure X-ray equipment functions properly and images meet quality standards
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety during exams
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
• Stay updated with radiologic advances and pursue licensure/certification renewal
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images

Shift Hours: 8-hour shifts - 7:30am to 4:00pm

Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I . The Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols
• Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
• Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
• Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
• Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images

Qualifications

• Registered in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• State of Kansas RT licensure, or temporary permit issued by KS State Board of Healing Arts upon hire
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
• Current BCLS (AHA)
• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferred
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
