St. Joseph Health in the Brazos Valley (Bryan/College Station area) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI, providing high-quality diagnostic images and excellent patient care.

You will ensure equipment readiness, participate in QA, maintain logs and inventories, and uphold infection control standards while collaborating with the Medical Director and Lead Technologist.

Qualifications

• CPR certification within 14 days of hire.
• MRT TX certification.
• ARRT Radiography certification required or preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests per departmental protocols; documents patient history.
• Prepares and validates equipment; ensures safety, calibration and QA procedures.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues and notifies Lead Technologist of problems.
• Maintains infection control standards; cleans and re-stocks rooms and equipment.
• Completes logs and quality checks; preserves inventories of clinical supplies.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history.
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation.
• Problem solves equipment failure and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure

Required

• Medical Radiographer: TX (MRT)
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT(R))
• Basic Life Support - CPR - Within 14 days of hire
