Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine radiographic procedures with emphasis on safety and image quality. You will verify demographics, maintain documentation, and assist physicians during emergencies.

The candidate must hold ARRT diagnostic radiography certification and Maryland licensure, with ongoing CMEs and compliance with radiation safety standards. This role supports teaching rotating students and coordinating with the radiology team.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a AMA-approved two-year radiological technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification in diagnostic radiography.
  • Active Maryland state licensure is required.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Process radiographic films; verify demographics and technical information; ensure film quality.
  • Complete procedures within established time frames while maintaining quality.
  • Provide first aid as required and assist physicians during emergencies.
  • Provide radiation protection to patients and participate in safety training.
  • Coordinate with manager to suggest improvements and report issues affecting patient care.
  • Monitor supplies and notify manager of shortages.
  • Stock assigned areas and manage expiration of time-sensitive supplies.
  • Assist with clinical education of rotating students and orient new staff.
  • Support billing, QA, and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain current license, CMEs and engage in required educational activities.

Job description

Position Objective:

Performs routine radiographic procedures in accordance with established safety and quality standards and the special needs of the patient.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Processes radiographic films; verifies demographics and technical information; checks technical quality of films.
  2. Completes procedures while maintaining quality of work within an established time frame. Ensures all pertinent information is correctly displayed on images and paperwork.
  3. Constantly assess patients condition and administers first aid as required; assists physicians in cases of adverse reactions or emergencies.
  4. Provides radiation protection to all patients in compliance with prescribed safety standards, attends required course in radiation safety.
  5. Confers with manager to recommend changes, report problems and provide feedback to improve patient care, technical quality, and clerical functions.
  6. Monitors supplies in assigned work area and notifies manager when shortages occur.
  7. Assures to stock assigned area during each shift and monitor expiration of time sensitive supplies and takes appropriate action when needed.
  8. Assists with the clinical educational of the rotating students. Assists manager in orienting new staff when needed.
  9. Other duties as assigned including billing, QA, etc.
  10. Maintains current license, CMEs and participates in various applicable educational activities as per regulatory/requirements.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program in AMA approved educational institution.
Required License/Certifications:
  • Current certification in diagnostic radiography by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current State of Maryland licensure is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification

Pay Range

$34.51 — $42 USD
