Radiologic Technologist - General Radiology - Main Campus (Contingent)

Contingent position requiring at least 2 shifts per month at Main Campus and/or LOSC.

Job Description Summary:

Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on pediatric patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images.

Essential Functions:
  • Prepares pediatric patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operates radiologic equipment to capture images of pediatric patients' internal organs and structures.
  • Reviews images to ensure they meet quality standards and are suitable for diagnostic purposes.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and ensures patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate proper patient care.
  • Maintains and updates knowledge of radiologic technology and safety procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Education Requirement:

Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology.

Licensure Requirement:
  • Active status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Valid "R" category Ohio Radiological License.
Certifications:

CPR certification required.

Skills:

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience:
  • At least one year of clinical experience in Radiological Sciences.
  • Experience in pediatric settings preferred.
Physical Requirements:

Occasionally involves handling biohazard waste, blood and bodily fluids, chemicals, and pathogens; lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance; frequent decision making; lifting and carrying various weights; reaching, bending, twisting; continuous use of computer and hand skills; hearing and visual acuity; and other physical tasks as detailed.

Additional physical requirements include repositioning patients of any size with assistance, performed consistently.
