Qualifications

• Registered in Radiography (R) with ARRT within 1 year.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography in Illinois (IEMA).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Associate's Degree in a related field; Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures and process patient exams per guidelines and department protocols.
• Review radiology orders and patient history for medical necessity and accuracy.
• Assure imaging quality by proper positioning and technical factors; assist radiologist as needed.
• Transfer and verify image data in PACS and provide clinical history for interpretation.
• Maintain imaging equipment and workstation; ensure safety and infection control.
• Support student and staff training; may assume Rad Tech Lead/Imaging Coordinator duties.
• Cross-train in other modalities as required and comply with related job descriptions.
