Job summary

Adventist Health Portland seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and produce diagnostic radiographs. You will position patients, adjust exposure, and ensure safety and accuracy under physician orders. Location: Damascus, OR 97089.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology is preferred.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT-R) certification is required.
• Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist license required in OR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates screening procedures for diagnostic imaging and explanations to patients.
• Produces diagnostic radiographs and documents exam information.
• Verifies exams on PACS and ensures accuracy for physician review.

Job Summary

Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
• Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License: Required in OR
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

• Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
• Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information. Reports important information to the physician.
• Verifies exams on PACS.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
