Job summary

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a radiologic technologist to operate x-ray equipment and produce radiographs as ordered by physicians. You will position and instruct patients, adjust exposure settings, and ensure safe, accurate imaging for diagnostic interpretation.

Requirements include ARRT-R certification, Oregon OBMI Radiologic Technologist License, and BLS certification. An Associate's Degree in radiologic technology is preferred; this is a full-time role with 12-hour shifts in

Responsibilities

  • Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
  • Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information. Reports important information to the physician.
  • Verifies exams on PACS.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT‑R): Required
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License: Required in OR
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
