Radiologic Technologist Full Time Midnights

  • Sign-on Bonus: Up to $15,000, based on relevant experience

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiological exams using appropriate imaging equipment following established policies and procedures.
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records for appropriateness of exams or procedures.
  • Interview patients to obtain or update medical histories and assess risk factors.
  • Explain procedures, including potential side effects, risks, benefits, and follow-up care.
  • Set up equipment and acquire images as per script.
  • Review images, make initial observations, document deviations, and communicate findings to radiologists.
  • Respond to medical emergencies as needed.
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients as prescribed by physicians.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities within radiology.
  • Educate residents, students, and new employees in imaging techniques.
  • Be available for call/standby shifts as required.

Qualifications:

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
  • Complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by end of orientation.

Skills Required:

  • Analytical and clinical skills to determine age-appropriate radiographic methods.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients and staff.
  • Technical proficiency with imaging equipment and computers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.
  • Physical stamina for frequent movement, lifting, and positioning of patients.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for producing high-quality radiographs.
