Job Description: Radiologic Technologist

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic procedures using stationary, portable, and specialized equipment at a technical and professional level that does not require constant supervision and produces acceptable quality images. This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. The technologist reports to the Supervisor, Diagnostic Radiology or the Practice Manager and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree is required. For candidates meeting licensing and registration requirements and grandfathered by those agencies, the Associate's degree requirement may be waived; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Current licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and registry eligibility are required. ARRT registration must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
3. Continuing education credits must meet State and Registry Licensing requirements.
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
5. One year of experience is preferred. Technologists must be trained and capable of handling patients from in vitro through adult.
