Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for Texas Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. In this role, you will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, assist in patient diagnosis, and utilize your professional judgement across all age groups. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited imaging program with ARRT certification and preferred experience in the field.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program is required.
• Preferred: Associate degree, 1-3 years of experience.
• Certifications: ARRT required within one year post-graduation.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures under supervision.
• Rotate through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology.
• Assist practitioners with fluoroscopy and trauma procedures.

Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs, rotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology to include OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements, and trauma; assists practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures and trauma.
