Job summary

Hospital for Special Surgery in Florida seeks a radiologic technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate holds ARRT registration, a valid Florida license, and proficiency with CR/DR radiography.

You will perform imaging studies, collaborate with clinicians, and uphold patient safety in a fast-paced environment, while contributing to continuous learning and quality care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology (AAS) is required.
• BLS certification and ARRT registered technologist with Florida license are required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Upholds standards and expectations of HSS staff.
• Prioritizes assignments and manages workflow to maximize productivity.
• Performs radiographic imaging using CR/DR equipment with safety for patients and staff.
• Maintains clear communication with medical staff and documents findings as required.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight. Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs). Examples: Nurses, LPNs, and Physical Therapists.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Indoor area with frequent exposure. Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature, and noise. Examples: patient care providers and laboratory technicians.

HAZARDS OSHA

OSHA Category 3. Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, or other potentially infectious materials and Category 1 tasks are not a condition of employment.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Assoicates, Radiology. Accredited School of Radiologic Technology (AAS).

EDUCATION PREFERRED

Bachelors.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIRED

BLS. ARRT - Registered Technologist Certification (RT); FL license and registration of license at FL DOH (LRT).

SKILLS REQUIRED

Demonstrates competency in the use of CR/DR Radiographic process.
