Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• New Graduates accepted.
• Minimum of ARRT registration in Radiography and/or medical Radiologic Technologist certification from Texas Department of Health Bureau of Radiation Control.
• Demonstrates knowledge of operation of assigned equipment through competency skills checklist(s).

Responsibilities

• Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures.
• Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
• Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.
• Maintain examination rooms and stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
• Maintain accurate records and follow confidentiality standards.
• Work as a team member within the radiology department and other departments.
• Participate in standby for modalities assigned and respond promptly when on-call.
• Complete all necessary forms for each study and coordinate with the physician.
