Qualifications

• Understanding of Anatomy, Physiology, Physics, radiation protection, and radiographic positioning required.
• Certification as a Diagnostic Xray Machine Operator by the State of Indiana is mandatory.
• Must maintain licensure and accrue 12 CEU points annually.
• Graduation from an approved program and ARRT board certification is required.
• BLS certification is necessary.
• Preferred at least two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic exams and apply ionizing radiation.
• Position patients under radiology machines and adjust controls for exposure.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of services rendered.
• Make minor adjustments to equipment; report major issues to Imaging Director.
