Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, Eureka VA CBOC in Eureka, CA is seeking a General DRT / Radiologic Technologist to perform radiography of the entire body in support of VA operations.

Responsibilities include various procedures, preparing contrast materials under radiologists, and ensuring equipment readiness while maintaining patient safety. ARRT certification and JRCERT education are required, with BLS and PACS experience preferred. This is on-site in Eureka.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency.
• ARRT certified.
• Graduate of an accredited JRCERT program, with at least 1 year of work experience.
• Experience with PACS; Agfa PACS preferred but not required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• No sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography of the entire body.
• Procedures include Cholangiography, lumbar/thoracic myelography, GI studies, IVPs, arteriography, operative cholangiography and arthrography.
• Sets up radiography suites and ensures sterile supplies and equipment are available.
• Prepares and administers contrast materials under supervision; monitors vital signs.
• Lifts, positions and transfers patients and equipment as needed.
• Sends images to PACS, archives images and performs case editing.
• Maintains records and enters patient information into VISTA when required.

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for General DRT / Radiologic Technologists / Radiographers to support operations at the Eureka Veterans Affairs CBOC located at930 West Harris Street Eureka, CA 95503. General Diagnostic Technologists perform radiography of the entire body. Procedures performed include Cholangiography, Lumbar and Thoracic Myelography, Gastrointestinal Studies, Intravenous Pyelograms, Arteriography, Operative Cholangiography, and Arthrography. Responsibilities

• Performs radiography of the entire body
• Procedures performed include, Cholangiography, Lumbar and Thoracic Myelography, Gastrointestinal Studies, Intravenous Pyelograms, Arteriography, Operative Cholangiography and Arthrography
• Sets up radiographic suites and ensures that sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment/supplies are present and available
• Prepares and administers contrast material orally, by enema, or under close supervision of radiologists, intravenously but not independently; as required by procedure or patient’s condition, monitors vital signs (blood pressure and heart rate) and reports any significant changes to a radiologist
• Lifts, positions, pushes and transfers patients, supplies, and/or equipment as needed
• Performs related clerical duties such as sending images to PACS, archiving images, and case editing of computer requests and reports
• As required, maintains records and enters patient information into the computer through the use of the Radiology Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) package

Qualifications

• English language proficiency
• ARRT(R) certified (required)
• Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education of Radiologic Technologists (JRCERT) program, and have a minimum of one (1) yearof work experience
  • Note - Student internship and training time spent in a radiology setting does not count toward the one(1) yearof experience
• Experience with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), experience with Agfa PACS is preferred but not required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• No sponsorship available

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
