Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions is hiring General Diagnostic Radiology Technologists (DRT) to support the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. In this pivotal role, you will execute comprehensive radiographic procedures including cholangiography and myelography, among others. The position requires ARRT certification, English proficiency, and at least two years of experience.

You will ensure the setup of radiographic suites, prepare contrast materials, and maintain patient records. The offered compensation is competitive at $43.43 - $60.18 hourly, with various benefits available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of work experience (student internship and training time does not count toward the two years).
• Experience with Agfa PACS preferred but not required.

Overview

General Diagnostic Radiology Technologists (DRT) will support the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System located at 11301 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90073 and potentially at surrounding clinics. In this role, you will perform radiography of the entire body, including procedures such as cholangiography, lumbar and thoracic myelography, gastrointestinal studies, intravenous pyelograms, arteriography, operative cholangiography, and arthrography. Available shift schedules include days, evenings, and nights. Exceptional compensation and benefits packages are available to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiography of the entire body.
• Perform procedures including cholangiography, lumbar and thoracic myelography, gastrointestinal studies, intravenous pyelograms, arteriography, operative cholangiography, and arthrography.
• Set up radiographic suites and ensure that sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment/supplies are present and available.
• Prepare and administer contrast material orally, by enema, or under close supervision of radiologists; intravenously but not independently; monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to a radiologist.
• Lift, position, push, and transfer patients, supplies, and/or equipment as needed.
• Perform related clerical duties such as sending images to PACS, archiving images, and case editing of computer requests and reports.
• Maintain records and enter patient information into the computer using the Radiology Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) package.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency.
• ARRT® certified (required).
• Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education of Radiologic Technologists (JRCERT) program and have a minimum of two (2) years of work experience (student internship and training time does not count toward the two years).
• Experience with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS); experience with Agfa PACS preferred but not required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• No sponsorship available.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $43.43 - $60.18 hourly

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above the shoulders during the work shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, and push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
