Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking General DRT / Radiologic Technologists to support the Baltimore VA Medical Center. The role involves performing radiography of the entire body, including Cholangiography and Myelography, with setup of radiographic suites and patient care under radiologist supervision.

Required ARRT certification, JRCERT-accredited education with at least two years of experience, and AHA BLS. PACS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with at least 2 years of radiologic technologist experience.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• No sponsorship available.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography of the entire body.
• Executes procedures including Cholangiography, Myelography, GI studies, IVP, Arteriography, Operative Cholangiography, Arthrography.
• Sets up radiographic suites and ensures sterile supplies and equipment are ready.
• Prepares and administers contrast material; monitors patient vitals and reports changes to radiologist.
• Lifts/positions patients and equipment as needed.
• Sends images to PACS and archives images; case edits computer requests/reports.
• Maintains patient records in VISTA system as required.

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for General DRT / Radiologic Technologists / Radiographers to support the Baltimore VA Medical Center located at 10 N Greene St, Baltimore, MD 21201. General Diagnostic Technologists perform radiography of the entire body. Procedures performed include Cholangiography, Lumbar and Thoracic Myelography, Gastrointestinal Studies, Intravenous Pyelograms, Arteriography, Operative Cholangiography, and Arthrography. Exceptional compensation and benefits packages are available to qualified candidates.

Position Pays

$70 - $75.09/hour

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography of the entire body
• Procedures performed include, Cholangiography, Lumbar and Thoracic Myelography, Gastrointestinal Studies, Intravenous Pyelograms, Arteriography, Operative Cholangiography and Arthrography
• Sets up radiographic suites and ensures that sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment/supplies are present and available
• Prepares and administers contrast material orally, by enema, or under close supervision of radiologists, intravenously but not independently; as required by procedure or patient’s condition, monitors vital signs (blood pressure and heart rate) and reports any significant changes to a radiologist
• Lifts, positions, pushes and transfers patients, supplies, and/or equipment as needed
• Performs related clerical duties such as sending images to PACS, archiving images, and case editing of computer requests and reports
• As required, maintains records and enters patient information into the computer through the use of the Radiology Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) package

Qualifications

• English language proficiency
• ARRT(R) certified (required)
• Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education of Radiologic Technologists (JRCERT) program, and have a minimum of two (2) years of work experience
• Note - Student internship and training time spent in a radiology setting does not count toward the two (2) years of experience
• Experience with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), experience with Agfa PACS is preferred but not required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• No sponsorship available
