Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (Diagnostic, X-Ray Tech) to perform imaging procedures independently and to demonstrate proficiency across a range of imaging tasks. The role requires ARRT certification or verification of completion from an approved program, plus BLS/CPR and required state clearances.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent verification before employment.
• ARRT certificate or verification of program completion.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Act 31, Act 33, Act 34 and Act 73 clearances (renewals as required).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures independently following departmental protocols.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and document procedures.
• Administer oral and rectal contrast per orders and department policies.
• Document exam data and charges in RIS and ISITE systems; archive images for interpretation.
• Communicate instructions clearly to patients and maintain professional interactions.
