Job summary

Guthrie in New York is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate stationary and portable x-ray equipment and perform radiographs of designated regions of the body.

The role requires ARRT accreditation/certification within 6 months, NYS licensure, and the ability to position patients accurately, label images correctly, and follow infection control protocols.

You will work as part of a radiology team, handle QA, use the RIS system, and be prepared for full shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program or ARRT-certified non-accredited program.
• Must obtain ARRT certification within 6 months of employment.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist License or NYS Temporary Permit required for NY positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures with correct equipment settings.
• Position patients accurately and ensure proper labeling of images.
• QA images prior to submission, with accurate patient and study labeling.
• Relate to patient information and follow infection-control protocols.
• Utilize Radiology Information System for scheduling, tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with radiology team to maintain high standards and timely exams.
• Attend in-service programs and assist with non-routine assignments as needed.
• Provide patient modesty, comfort and privacy; assist with emergency situations.
