Job summary

Artesia General Hospital in Carlsbad, NM is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations in inpatient, outpatient, OR, and emergency settings. You will work closely with radiologists and clinicians, ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and adherence to HIPAA and ALARA standards while providing compassionate care across age groups.

This full-time position requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, ARRT

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Current ARRT (R) certification.
• New Mexico State Radiologic Technologist license (active).
• BLS certification (current).

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic exams including chest, extremities, spine, fluoroscopic studies, and portable imaging.
• Evaluate clinical history, physician orders, and patient information to ensure complete examinations.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain radiographic equipment to meet standards and ALARA principles.
• Accurately position patients and apply shielding and radiation protection measures.
• Process and transmit images through PACS for timely interpretation.
• Adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards; ensure patient safety and dignity.
