Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of high school and accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration required; BLS/CPR required within 30 days of hire.
• Six months to one year radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Positions patients to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Reviews images for quality before completion of the examination.
• Maintains ALARA principles and radiation safety.
• Ensures patient safety, dignity, privacy, and comfort during examinations.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and maintains equipment.
• Documents examinations and supports workflow within Radiology.
• Collaborates with nursing and other departments to promote efficient patient flow.
