Job summary

Mercy Urgent Care in Jasper, IN is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to support fast, friendly patient care. You will collect patient information, perform x-ray imaging, prepare specimens, and document results in the EMR, while maintaining a structured, positive workflow.

Qualifications

• Certification as Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and state licensure as applicable.
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program (AS/AA).
• Proficiency with EMR systems and imaging protocols.

Responsibilities

• Position and calibrate radiographic equipment.
• Prepare patients and obtain consent.
• Perform radiographic procedures with quality imaging.
• Review orders and ensure correct patient information.
• Document images and results in EMR.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control.

Job description

The Radiologic Technologist assists patients by triaging for the visit. You will thrive in this role by relying on our structured process to collect detailed information during a fast paced, friendly and positive patient encounter. Successful Radiologic Technologists are optimistic and organized to follow-up on multiple tasks.

Your tasks will include the following:

• collecting patient information including vital signs, height, weight, medical history and prescriptions
• administering medical tests, collecting specimens, giving injections
• providing quality x-ray images
• charting in the electronic medical records system
• processing paper documents such as sports physicals and DOT physicals
• communicating medical results back to patients

Position Overview

• Work hours: 7 a.m to 7 p.m. – Full Time – 36 hours each week
• Work rotation: work 6 days in a 14-day period with 7 days off in a row; no holidays or Sundays worked
