Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Advanced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and support patient care. You will operate imaging equipment, uphold safety and quality standards, and maintain precise records.

Strong communication with patients and healthcare teams is essential. Education includes graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program with clinical hours and either 1 year of experience or a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with clinical hours.
• 1 year of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree.
• ARRT Radiography certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

The Advanced Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, upholding high-quality imaging standards, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of procedures and findings. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.

Position Details:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.

Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program

Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Certification/Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Radiography (ARRT(R)); Basic Life Support (BLS).

• Proficiency in operating radiographic imaging equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
