Job summary

Oro Valley Hospital in Arizona is seeking a Radiologic Technologist I to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with emphasis on patient safety and comfort. This full-time day shift role collaborates with radiologists and staff to ensure timely, high-quality imaging.

You will maintain equipment, follow ALARA, document in PACS, and support HIPAA-compliant operations. Requirements include ARRT certification, state license if applicable, and BCLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification required
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire required

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures independently with diagnostic-quality images following guidelines
• Adheres to ALARA and participates in Image Gently/ Image Wisely to minimize exposure
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, and explains procedures for comfort and understanding
• Maintains infection control and ensures equipment readiness and supplies
• Documents imaging and related data in PACS for radiologist interpretation
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and leadership to support patient care
• Supports patient safety, ensures timely imaging workflows, and maintains attendance
