Job summary

Eisenhower Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and operate imaging equipment with strict adherence to ALARA principles. The role requires ARRT certification and a California CRT license (fluoroscopy permit required within 12 months if graduating before 2011).

Responsibilities include handling C-ARM and other radiology equipment, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality examinations while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced department.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Training Program approved by the AMA or equivalent training.
  • ARRT certification; California CRT license with fluoroscopy permit; fluoroscopy permit within 12 months of hire if graduated before Jan 1, 2011 from Diagnostic Radiology Technology program with CRT license.
  • American Heart Association BLS

Responsibilities

  • Operates radiographic equipment (e.g., C-ARM, RF room, portable equipment) following ALARA guidelines.
  • Prioritizes tasks and manages time to meet deadlines.
  • Obtains patient medical history and prepares patient for exam.
  • Performs radiographic procedures of high technical quality and reports deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Stocks x-ray rooms between exams and at end of shift.
  • Documents changes in patient condition using appropriate forms.
  • Performs receptionist and Radiology Assistant duties as needed.
  • Produces radiographs and adheres to isolation techniques per policy.
