Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino County is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and produce high-quality radiographs under physician orders. You will position patients, adjust exposure settings, and ensure safety during exams at our Fort Bragg/Philo area facility.

This role is represented by UFCW and emphasizes patient care and accurate imaging. Preferred candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology and ARRT-R certification, with fluoroscopy licensing required

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology preferred.
• ARRT-R radiography license required.
• Fluoroscopy license required in state of employment; BLS may be required.
• Ability to explain procedures and ensure patient safety during exams.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by physicians.
• Positions and instructs patients prior to examination and adjusts exposure settings.
• Prepares equipment and exam rooms for patient procedures.
• Positions patients for imaging exams and monitors safety during exams.
• Produces diagnostic images and reports important information to the physician.
• Verifies exams on PACS and documents exam information.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph. This position is represented by UFCW.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists — Radiography (ARRT-R): RequiredRadiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA and HI Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA within 6 months of hire

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required
