Job description

Operates x-ray and auxiliary equipment, processes images, maintains and cleans equipment, and maintains required documentation.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepares patients for exams, explains procedures in layman's terms to reduce anxiety, and obtains necessary consent forms.
  2. Performs various x-ray exams following established standards and procedures, positions patients, adjusts equipment, monitors patient conditions, and reports any abnormalities to the Radiologist. Enters patient data and manages image transfer and archiving.
  3. Processes and maintains images, labels films correctly, ensures proper marking and labeling, and records each examination accurately.
  4. Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
  • BLS-AHA certification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams.
