Radiologic Technologist - CT Tech - Brooklyn

Base pay range

$70.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Prepares patient for exam. Relieves patient of pre-testing anxiety, translating examination details into layman terms based on professional knowledge. Ensures consent form for the procedure is obtained if necessary.
  • Performs various x-ray exams according to established standards, procedures, and division protocols. Positions patients for radiographs, adjusts immobilization/support devices, and operates equipment to obtain correct exposure. Monitors patient’s condition, reports abnormalities, and records pertinent information.
  • Processes and maintains images, labels films correctly, and ensures proper documentation and archiving.
  • Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • NY State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.
