Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a dedicated Multi-Modality Tech to join our team at Cleveland Heights Health Center. Candidates must possess the ARRT Radiologic Technology credentials and be able to perform a variety of technical procedures in CT and X-Ray for the diagnosis of diseases. Our facility is well-equipped and accredited, offering substantial support and training for new employees.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Registered Radiology Technologist with ARRT required.
  • Valid Ohio Radiographer License essential.

Responsibilities

Location: Cleveland Heights Health Center

Biweekly Hours: 1.00

Shift: 2nd shift rotating weekends and call

The Community ED locations at Parma, Brecksville, and Cleveland Heights provide critical services and support the mission and values of the MetroHealth system. Primary Patient Population:

• Underserved population in the Greater Cleveland area

• Trauma/Emergency Patients

• Stroke Patients

• Cancer Patients

• Orthopedics, Podiatry, Neurology, PM&R, and more.

• Operating Room & Pain Management (Parma & Brecksville only)

• Bone Densitometry (Parma Only)

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology

• IV Starts

• Produces quality CT/XR images in a variety of settings

• Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients

• Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain basic understanding and comfort.

• On the spot critical thinking

• Effective communication skills

• Functions well under stress and with minimal supervision

• Works well both independently and as part of the CT/XR Team

Personnel Multi-Modality Tech will work with:

• The CT/XR staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients.

Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:

• All CT scanners are ACR Accredited

o Early life cycle CT and X-Ray equipment at Brecksville, Cleveland Heights, and Parma

• All CT/XR Technologists credentialed through ARRT

• Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing CT (Computed Tomography) & X-Ray scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans.

• Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program

• Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

• ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.

• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)

• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.

Preferred:

• One-year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT.

Physical Requirements:

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.

• May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.

• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.

• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
